Oracle E-Business Suite Technical Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite Technical Consultant to take ownership of technical development, application configuration, enhancements, integrations, reporting, and support activities within the Oracle E-Business Suite environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite solutions, working closely with functional consultants, business teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities   

• Take full ownership of assigned technical and development activities, including change requests, minor and major enhancements, and project tasks.
• Perform application development and configuration within Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x.
• Design and develop technical solutions based on business requirements and user specifications.
• Develop, customize, enhance, and troubleshoot applications using:

              ○ SQL / PL/SQL

              ○ Oracle Forms and Reports

              ○ Oracle Applications Framework (OAF)

              ○ Oracle ADF

              ○ Java / J2EE / J2SE

              ○ BI Publisher

              ○ Oracle E-Business APIs and Interfaces

              ○ AME and Workflow Builder

              ○ SOAP and REST Web Services

              ○ Web ADI

              ○ Discoverer

• Create and maintain XML and BI Publisher reports, alerts, and related technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and support OBIEE reports and dashboards.
• Review, troubleshoot, fix, enhance, and develop existing code and applications.
• Perform technical analysis, solution design, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Participate in peer code and technical design reviews to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, development specifications, and system documentation.
• Work closely with functional consultants and business/IT teams throughout the design, development, testing, and implementation lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to end users and resolve application-related issues.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues and raise Oracle Service Requests through My Oracle Support (MOS) when required.
• Support systems and applications integrating with Oracle E-Business Suite and other enterprise technology platforms.
• Develop and support web-service integrations using SOAP and RESTful APIs.
• Follow established IT service management, change management, and release management processes.
• Use the organization's ticket management system for tracking incidents, service requests, changes, and technical deployments.
• Support user training, system documentation, and post-implementation activities.
• Work with software providers and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve integration and application issues.
• Ensure all deliverables are reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• Monitor end-user experience and proactively identify opportunities for system improvement.
• Manage multiple technical tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 5–6+ years of experience in application development, preferably with Oracle technologies.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite ERP R12.2.x.
• Strong development experience with Oracle ADF technologies.
• Proven experience in Oracle E-Business Suite technical development and customization.
• Experience developing OBIEE reports and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
